Bazou provides AI support for Haitian families through SMS and WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
We collect information needed to deliver the product, including:
- Account details such as name, email, phone number, and language preference.
- Conversation content from SMS/WhatsApp messages, including assistant responses.
- Voice note files and transcriptions when voice messages are used.
- Operational metadata such as channel delivery events and failure logs.
How We Use Data
We use data to operate and improve Bazou, including to:
- Generate AI responses and reminders.
- Maintain conversation continuity and user memory preferences.
- Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and support troubleshooting.
- Meet safety and legal compliance obligations.
Retention
Voice media links used for WhatsApp replies are temporary and expire after approximately 10 minutes. Conversation history, reminders, and memory data are retained while your account is active unless you request deletion.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers to power core product features:
- Anthropic Claude for language model responses.
- OpenAI Whisper for speech-to-text processing.
- ElevenLabs for optional text-to-speech responses.
- Twilio for SMS messaging.
- Meta WhatsApp Cloud API for WhatsApp messaging.
Your Rights
You may request access to your data, export your data, or delete your data. Bazou supports data portability and deletion requests through in-app/admin workflows and support channels.
Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls, audit logging for sensitive operations, and monitored infrastructure.
